\(\phi\)-FEM

In this section, we will present the \(\phi\)-FEM method. We will first present fictitious domain methods (Section "Fictitious domain methods"). Next, we will give a general presentation of the method with a description of the spaces required (Section "General presentation of the \(\phi\)-FEM method"), followed by a description of the \(\phi\)-FEM direct method (Section "Description of the \(\phi\)-FEM direct method") and a description of the \(\phi\)-FEM dual method (Section "Description of the \(\phi\)-FEM dual method"). Finally, we will give some details on the stabilization terms (Section "Some details on the stabilization terms").
