About
Currently looking for a postdoctoral position.
Hi! I am Frédérique,
I am a PhD student in the team-project MIMESIS at Centre Inria de l’Université de Lorraine, in Strasbourg, France.
One of the main application areas for the Mimesis team is surgical assistance during complex procedures, particularly liver surgery. The scientific challenge involved is the creation of real-time digital twins of organs, such as the liver. My current work focuses on developing a hybrid method combining finite element methods and neural networks for the numerical resolution of partial differential equations (PDEs). More specifically, finite elements are accurate methods where theoretical error estimators are already known but can be very costly, hence the interest in coupling them with neural networks such as physics-informed neural networks, which are fast and can be parametric.
My research interests are: Scientific computing, Physics-informed neural networks, Numerical analysis, Finite element method, Hybrid solvers, Parametric partial differential equations, Error estimation, Neural networks.
